I checked my portfolio at 3 AM. It was red. I checked again at 3:05 AM. Still red. My strategy needs work.
Refreshing the page does not change the market. I know this intellectually. Emotionally, I believe that if I stare hard enough, the numbers will feel bad and go up out of guilt.

I check my portfolio like I check the fridge. Nothing has changed since 10 minutes ago but hope springs eternal.
Staring at red numbers is not a strategy. It is a lifestyle. Welcome.
I set a limit order at midnight and dreamed the stock hit it. It did not. Dreams are not market analysis.
