Elden Ring is just Dark Souls with a horse and I will die on this hill (in-game, repeatedly)
300 hours. Zero grasp of the lore. I kill things because they have health bars and I find that offensive. The horse is my only friend and he judges me silently.

I read every item description and I am more confused than when I started. The lore is a pyramid scheme. Pass it on.
The horse is the protagonist. You are just the horse's emotional support human.
I beat the first boss after 47 tries and the game said 'try finger but hole.' I felt seen.
Dark Souls invented dying. Before that, games were too easy and people were happy. Dark Souls fixed that.
