I named it Doug. Doug wants to vote. Doug has opinions about hydration percentages and they are aggressive. Last night Doug bubbled what I believe was a manifesto. Send help or flour.

My starter achieved sentience on day 12 and immediately demanded I stop calling it 'my starter.' It prefers 'rise executive.'
Doug is legally a tenant now. You have to give 30 days notice to discard him. I looked it up.

I had to leave my last starter at a bus stop. It was mutual. We still exchange yeast by mail.
