Halftime show featured a performer I have never heard of. I have never felt more alive and more dead simultaneously.
My kids knew every word. I knew none. The performer was 12 years old and had 3 Grammys. I have a mortgage and a LinkedIn profile. We are both successful in different ways.

I asked my daughter who the performer was and she looked at me the way I look at fax machines. I am the past.
I googled the performer and their Wikipedia page said they were born in 2015. I have socks older than this Grammy winner.
The halftime show used to be a safe space for dads who like classic rock. Now it is a youth summit and I am just here for the commercials.
