Cargo shorts have 8 pockets and I use exactly 1. The other 7 are for potential. For dreams. For the person I could be.
Phone goes in right pocket. That is the rule. Left pocket is for my hand when I am nervous. The cargo pockets hold nothing but the weight of possibility. I am 30.

I put a granola bar in a cargo pocket once in 2014. It is still there. It is a part of me now.
Cargo shorts are just wearable baggage. Emotional and physical. You carry your trauma on your thighs. I respect it.
My girlfriend said cargo shorts are 'a cry for help.' I said 'help I have too many small items to transport.' She left. I have room for that story in pocket 7.
