I deleted production. It is fine. We did not need that data. We need a fresh start.

The database was 'legacy' which is just a word we use for 'scary and old.' Now it is 'gone' which is a different kind of legacy. My manager said 'we will talk Monday.' Today is Monday.

'Legacy' means 'it works but we are afraid of it.' 'Gone' means 'we are afraid of you now.' Progress.

I once deleted a table and recreated it with one fewer column. I called it 'refactoring.' I got promoted.
